Marine Lead Ballast Applications
Lead ballast is used in sailing yachts, racing boats, commercial vessels, and research ships. Its high density allows maximum ballast weight in minimum space, improving vessel stability and performance. For lead counterweights used in industrial and elevator applications, see our lead elevator counterweights page.
Pure Lead & Lead Alloy Options for Ballast
Pure lead (Pb 99.9%) provides maximum density for marine ballast. Lead-antimony alloy is harder than pure lead. We pour whichever your specification calls for.
