We had many interesting projects at Nuclead this week. Our Lead products went into a variety of applications including lead shielding for an X-ray room, plumbing supplies, bullet alloys, lead washers and special lead alloy for lead rounds.
Here are some of the details of projects we fabricated and shipped:
We fabricated and shipped a special machined vinyl backed lead sheet, 1.8mm thick; for a x-ray shielding project, this was delivered to Westborough, MA
Nuclead fabricated and shipped to a machinery manufacture in Kemah, TX: Tin based Babbitt: Genuine Babbitt, Grade two, 10# ingots.
We fabricated and shipped Lyman #2 Bullet Alloy: 5% Tin, 5% Antimony, 90% Lead; to a custom lead fishing sinker company in Natick, MA. They wanted the harder bullet alloy lead for their special deep water rig weights.
CNC Machined and shipped special lead spacer washers to a distributor in Bloomfield, CT.
We performed a lead extrusion and then shipped a special sized lead bar stock to a metals wholesaler in Mesquite, TX
Nuclead work on a special lead alloy for bullet metal lead. The lead alloy was cast and poured and consisted of lead round 6% antimony: 1/2″ Dia. x 72″ lengths. The bullet metal was shipped to the United States Army, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, for custom ammunition fabrication.
