With the 4th of July holiday falling on a Thursday we had a short week at Nuclead and Sharp manufacturing. Here are a few of the things we worked on:
We fabricated and shipped pure caulking lead to an engine manufacturer in Vienna, IL. Lead caulking can be used for a variety of applications such as sealing water pipes, in this case the caulking lead will be used as a gasket material. Lead is quite ductile, this property ensures fast and easy filling and sealing of both small and large joints. As a result lead caulk joints are capable of withstanding pressures 24 times a cast lead joint, in addition to providing long term joint stability due to lead’s general resistance to corrosion.
Ship from “in stock” inventory pig lead to a machine shop in Georgetown, KY; for its own value added services. Pig lead is manufactured in 60 lb ingots per 60 lb. ingots per ANSI/ASTM-B29 which is a Standard Specification for Refined Lead
Pig lead is one of the many lead products available to ship from stock in Nuclead’s in house inventory, one of the largest inventories in the US. The inventory is located in a modern climate controlled facility located in West Bridgewater, MA. Products are available to ship immediately.
This inventory allows us to ship to customers as quickly as the need arises, in quantities up a standard truck load for any of the products in our lead products inventory.
