Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Acrylic,  Lead Alloys, Lead Rod, Lead Castings

In addition, this this month we are working on lead fabrication and CNC machining orders to ship at later dates. The lead items proceeding in the factory are sensitive with both deliveries and tolerances.

Among these ‘WIP” orders are Lead Shielding for mobile backscatter x-ray equipment. Backscatter images quickly and clearly reveals threats like explosives, drugs, currency, and trade-fraud items such as alcohol and cigarettes—even in high-throughput environments like border crossings and security checkpoints.

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.

Fabricated Lead Products

• Lead fabrication of Lead Acrylic using CNC machining per customer blueprints and written specifications. Nuclead is capable of CNC machining lead acrylic using Cad-Cam 3d models per customer provided step or electronic files. Delivered to an engineering firm in Illinois for product development of this lead shielding items.
• Fabricate and ship a full truck load (40,000#) of special lead battery alloy. Sold to an experimental battery corporation in the Midwest, Nuclead provided a quick delivery of this special lead alloy. The order is an initial release of what could be a monthly recurrence if the lead product is successful during this stage.
• Fabricate Lead Plywood, 48.00″ x 96.00″: 1/4″ Lead Sheeting, bonded for installation purposes only, to; 3/4″ Western fir CDX: Sold to an acoustical company in New Jersey. The customer will be installing the lead soundproofing in a sound studio.
• Fabricate Special Lead foil: 0.005″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. Rolls must be from the same lot number. Sold to a company in Pennsylvania using the lead foil as soundproofing for a government contractor.
• Lead Cast >=99% Pure Lead Rod: 2.00″ OD x 4.00″ long. Delivered to a defense sub-contractor in Arizona for unknown purposes. The lead materials are certified and documented per customers written order.
• Cast Square edges, Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. delivered to a local blacksmith techniques and state of the art technology company that fabricates distinct ornamental metal products. The lead items will be used as counterweights during the assembly process of some of their products.
• Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Shipped to a general contractor in Virginia for a stone restoration project using lead materials.
• Manufacture 5 lb., 4% antimony lead ingots. Ship a machine shop in Florida for their own value-added services using the Nuclead lead items.
• CNC Machine lead seals and washers using Lead sheet: 1/2″ x 60.00″ x 68.00″; Per QQ-L-171 Grade A. the machined items are sensitive tolerances within +/- 0.002” and need to be certified, documented and QC’ inspected. Nuclead delivered this lead products using Nuclead trucking.
• Fabricate 1.25″ Lead Outlets @ 50 PCs. /carton. Sold to a hardware distributor in New England for re-sale throughout the country & to be distributed to some store out of the country.
• Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 11/16″ wide x 1/2″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 60′) spool(s). “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Dispatched to a concrete construction company in Idaho for a restoration project in McCall, ID, using Nuclead lead stock.
• Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures
• Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 11/16″ wide x 1/2” joint depth x 25# (Ref: 60′) spool(s). Type A = Flat cap. Sold to a roofing company in North Carolina using the lead products for special chimney flashing.
• Extrude Lead pipe: 2.00″ id x 0.073″ wall x 13.00″ lg. sold to a company in Salt Lake City that specializes in machine design and manufacturing. The lead pipe will be used to shield against complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). “Type A” = Flat cap. Delivered to a disaster cleaning company in North Carolina that is using the Nuclead lead products to fix existing issues of waterproofing.
• Extrude Lead pipe: 3.25″ id x 1/8″ wall x 36.00″ lg. Sold and delivered to a University in Calgary Canada for radiation shielding during experiments in their laboratory.

From Inventory

• Cut Lead Plate: 1/4″ x 3/4″ x 48.00″, sold to a machine shop in Nevada for lead improvements for their customers needs. These lead items were made available in a short time frame for our customers urgent needs.
• Saw Lead 6% antimony: 1/2″ x 3.50″ x 9.25″ and deliver to a machine shop in California for their own lead value added services.
• Pick and ship one ton of Magnum Lead balls: 2.6 mm diameter (#7) (.100″ dia.). Delivered via Nuclead trucking to a local plating house that uses the lead products as a sacrificial anode during special electroplating processes.
• Pick Lead 6% antimony: 1.00″ x 17.00″ x 22.00″ and CNC mill per customer supplied blueprints, x-ray shielding. The special lead is used for mobile x-ray equipment scanning for contraband at border crossings, for homeland security.
• Cut Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 10.00″ x 48.00 and delivered to a large hand tool manufacture. This customer uses the lead items for lead heavy and dense properties in dead blow hammers.
• Cut Lead Sheet: 3/32″ x 12.00″ x 48.00″. shipped to medical and dental care company in Utah for radiation shielding in their radiation department.
• Pick Scrap Lead chips, dross, solids, reclaimed shot &/or shavings; The reclaimed lead for sale of reclaimed miscellaneous sizes & grades will be used for weight and ballast.
• Saw Lead sheet int sizes of 1/4″ x 6.00″ x 72.00″. Sold to an American distribution company in West Virginia for re-sale. The lead products are used for unknown purpose.
• Pick and ship Lead Roof Jacks: Multi Pitch: 10.00″lg x 10.00″ x 10.00″ x 2.5# x (4.50″ diameter ID). The leaded weld materials were sold to a plumbing contractor that need the lead items for roof flashing.
• Pick and delivery Pure lead Pig ingots, Approx. 40#-70# ingots (Approx. size: 3.50″ x 4.00″ x 22.00″, loaf shape). Sold to a local yacht marina for yacht ballast. This company purchased the lead materials from Nuclead because of it availably to deliver locally.
• Ship tons of Magnum Lead balls: 2.6 mm diameter (#7) (.100″ dia.) to a plating house in New England. The lead product is used as lead anode materials for a special plating process per customer specifications.
