Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead based products such as Lead Alloy, Antimony Lead, Lead Seals, Scrap Lead.
Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the world.
Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate and ship 6% – 7% antimony lead alloy round-bar stock. Sold to a machine shop for its own value added services in Utah.
- Fabricate and ship .010″ pure lead foil: sold 2,000 lbs. to a pump OEM using the lead foil as a seal or gasket material
- Fabricate and ship .010″ thick lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other. Sold to a medical equipment OEM in New England for radiation protection.
- Fabricate and ship various sized lead plate: Sold to a general contractor in Pennsylvania for use of Cryogenics facility construction.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Type A = Flat cap: Weathercap. Sold to a local, repeat customer in Massachusetts for continuous restoration projects on their work schedule.
- Fabricate and ship 2,000# of 5/16″ diameter pure lead round-bar stock. Shipped to a medical OEM in Edinboro, PA. The pure lead material is used for this application for its heavy, soft properties.
- Fabricate and ship several tons of special sized lead flashing. Sold to a building distributor in Pennsylvania
Valued Added Engineering Services
- Fabricate and ship thousands of units of lead alloy, de-coppering Foil. Tolerances of +/- 0.50 grams and thickness of 0.002″ +/- 0.0002″; Ship these extremely tight tolerance products to an ordnance and tactical systems, defense contractor for undisclosed purposes.
- Fabricate and ship customer supplied blueprint items. Fabricate pure lead seals for a company in New Jersey that fabricates packaging imaging detection systems and software.
- Fabricate and ship customer blueprint items for an aerospace contractor in Canada. These items were fabricated using 6% antimony lead alloy per AMS-7721.
From Inventory
- Pick and ship from inventory: 1/4″ thick lead sheeting. Sold to a metals distributor in Virginia for re-sale to government end user for unknown purposes.
- Pick and ship from inventory: 1/4″ thick lead sheeting. Sold to a metals distributor in Kansas for re-sale.
- Pick and ship 4″ lead fit-all drain plugs. Sold to a local Plumber that uses the Nuclead fit-all plugs on a regular basis.
- Pick and ship 4.50″ lead fit all plugs, sold to a customer for unknown use in MI using Nuclead’s Amazon Seller Central inventory.
Pick and ship 1/32″ thick lead shielding: Sold to a metals fabricator manufacturing x-ray components in New England. This lead sheeting is used for x-ray protection. - Pick and ship one ton of scrap lead solids: Sold to a construction company to be used a counter balance for large cranes used in inner city construction. Shipped to a site in South Carolina.
- Pick and ship Grade A virgin tin. Sold to an Auto body company for repair work in Massachusetts.
- Pick and ship lead threaded, fit all plugs: 5.50″ diameter sold to a homeowner doing repair work in an old house for personal use.
- Pick and ship Virgin Antimony: Grade A “Sb”: Sold a commercial glass OEM for the auto and aircraft industries.
