Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate Nuclead Brand, “Puritan” Babbitt: Per ASTM B-23 #8 (White Babbitt): 5% tin / 15% antimony / balance lead. The White Babbitt metals is a special bearing babbitt with slightly different specifications. Nuclead uses its large inventory of pure lead and other virgin metals to non-ferrous metal alloys for industrial, custom and commercial needs.
- Cast Pure Caulking Lead: Five count of Virgin 5# ingots. Sold 2,500 lbs. to a mining OEM that uses the lead for sale as a special babbitt. The special lead alloy is used as a bearing babbitt during their manufacturing process. As a lead manufacturer, Nuclead provides these along with all types of non-ferrous metals.
- Nuclead fabricates and delivers Lead foil: 0.005” x 1.00″ x 60′ (720.00″). The special lead foil is used as radiation shielding for Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Nuclead uses its lead ingots to cast into lead bars. This is used in the fabrication processes to produce lead sheet metals or foil to customers written specifications or blueprints.
- Cast pure lead to produce, “Nuclead” Brand, Cast 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″ Interlocking Lead bricks, chevron style. These interlocking bricks are made with the highest quality of our lead ingots. The lead bars are assembled as radiation shielding with no leakage.
- Cut custom Lead sheet/flashing: 1/24″ x 36.00″ wide x 24′ (288.00″). Nuclead offered this general contractor in Montanan special lead rolls, for a commercial roof application. These special lead sheets are flexible and durable for many decades of service. The lead for sale is in sheet form is rolled for ease of shipping.
- Ship Painted lead bricks. Nuclead used pure pig lead to cast lead into the size: 3.00″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″lg; Per QQ-L-171 Grade B. Nuclead also encapsulate with high build epoxy; Devran #235. The Painted brick was black color with at least 8.0 mils thick & cured. Nuclead also shipped the painted lead brick in weatherproof packaging. Nuclead is a premier lead fabricator and provides lead weights and lead block to its customers written or blueprint specifications. These lead items for sale were delivered to a local government sub-contractor.
- Nuclead provides Lead casting of Pure Caulking Lead: Five count of Virgin 5# ingots. The Nuclead brand “puritan lead” lead items are 99.99% pure lead ingots. These pure lead ingots are used during OEM’s assembly process of industrial diesel engines.
- Provide lead fabrication of Lead foil: 0.005” x 1.00″ x 60′ (720.00″); Per customer provided quality codes. This aerospace customer requires the lead sheeting to be to MIL and ASTM standards and recorded. Nuclead shipped the lead sheets individually in plastic zip lock with moisture desiccant. The lead for sale was also Labeled per specifications required. These thin lead sheet materials will be used as radiation shielding in a government laboratory environment.
- Fabricate custom lead molds and Cast lead into lead elevator weights per sketch provided RFQ. The 3-ton order was shipped to Florida and purchased by a national elevator chain. The custom lead weights are quoted and sold each. The lead weight must be fabricated to within +/- 1/32” to be acceptable by the customers quality control department. Nuclead produces lead weight using in-stock lead ingots and CnC machinery to fabricate 3-D lead molds. The order is then palletized and shipped via LTL carriers. All lead prices are quoted in writing in advance so there are no miscommunications between either party and the lead products are produced as intended with no quality nor delivery issues. The lead counterweight is an important part of proper elevator operation and safety. As an experienced secondary lead smelter, Nuclead can produce larger quantities at theses tight tolerances.
- Produce 2″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 30 PCs. /Carton and 1.50″ Lead Outlets @ 50 PCs. /Carton. Nuclead shipped these non-ferrous metals to a general store wholesaler, for re-sale. The lead for sale is an ongoing contract with Nuclead’s customer. This customer also sells lead sheetrock, lead sheet, lead lined drywall and lead flashing, which Nuclead also provides.
From Inventory
- Pick and Saw Lead sheet: 1/8″ x 48.00″ x 96.00″ to a machine shop in Maryland for their own value-added processes. The lead sheeting was certified per QQ-L-201-f using Nuclead quality standards of ISO 9001:2015. The cut lead rolls will be used as lead lining of an unknown project. The lead for sale is carefully cut using high quality control standards. The lead shielding is then packaged to all minimum LTL standards for delivery to its customer in Maryland.
- Provide Free Samples of Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: Type A (flat) 2″ x 12.00″ and Type B (inside corner cove) 1.5″ x 12.00″. Nuclead shipped the lead for sale to an Engineering firm in Indiana for customer approval before order large quantiles of the lead products.
- Pick and ship lead ship ballast, using pure lead, pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# each. This local marina picked up the lead for sale and will used the pure lead as lead weights of a motor vessel per coast guard requirements. Lead weights are required in many ship ballast applications because of its heavy and dense properties. Soft lead is preferred so it can mold to the bottom of the hull better, as opposed to antimony lead or hard babbitt bearing materials. Scrap lead or reclaimed lead shot can also be used but it takes many more hours to handle. In conclusion, the larger, soft lead weights are most preferred.
- Extrude Lead wire: 2mm diameter x 25 lb. spools. These nonferrous metals were delivered to a wholesaler’s customer directly. The pure lead wire was certified per ASTM-B-29. They will be cut into smaller sections and used as lead weight.
- Cut Lead plate into the dimensions of 1/2″ x 24.00″ x 36.00″. The cut lead sheeting is used for pressure, cryogenic and ground storage vessels for radiation shielding. This lead metal was sold as bulk lead and was given our best pricing for the high volumes purchased. The lead prices are contingent of the quantities and weights of the customer’s request for quote. Nuclead’s’ lead for sale is priced per current market conditions and can be delivered with ISO certified documentation for its national laboratory and government sub-contractors.
- Pick from Nuclead inventory, AMS-7721 Antimony Lead plate: 1/4″ x 48.25″ x 60.25″ and certify per customer provided blueprints. Nuclead them cuts the lead sheeting for CnC machining services of the lead for sale. The price of lead per pound is calculated with pricing models that reduce the lead prices for more bilk lead orders. The antimony lead metal if fabricated and assembled into sophisticated and close tolerance lead seals for a government sub-contractor. The antimony element is alloyed with lead, copper and tin to produce the highest quality antimony lead alloy available in the industry.
- Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40 for a medical supply company in Tennessee for resale. The lead products will be used a radiation shielding in a laboratory setting. This pure lead for sale is certified per QQ-C-40. The lead metal is ship in 50# boxes via UPS for easy and economical shipping.
