Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Recent Shipments
- Pick in stock lead billets to produce Lead Extrusions. Lead wire: 1″ dia. x 23 lb. lengths.: Extrude and straighten: Saw into 44.00″ long lengths each. Delivered via Nuclead trucking to a metal’s distributor in Pennsylvania. The lead round bar in manufactured using lead pig lead. They are cast into lead billets and extruded. The lead weight for this order was several thousand pounds. These lead products for sale were supplied with certification per ASTM-B-29. The cut lead wire was removed from any burs and packaged into crush proof containers.
- Fabricate custom Lead coils: 0.2188″ x 0.2743″ x 50 lbs. coils. (Approximately 192 linear feet). Nuclead had to fabricate a special harden dies for this special size and extrude using hard lead with 6% antimony lead billets. Tolerances needed to be held within +/- 0.010”. The lead materials were made with hard lead alloy as it is for a robotic equipment OEM and their specifications required this lead alloy. Lead coil and lead wire can be extruded into any custom sizes or alloys with Nuclead exsert team to fabricate and produce the items quickly.
- CNC machine Lead sheet: 1/2″ x 60.25″ x 68.25″ to QQ-L-201 per customer supplied blueprints. This custom lead order was delivered to a laboratory in the mid-west for radiation shielding during testing. Lead plates to this specification are void free to allow no radiation leakage. Lead sheeting to the specification can also be used as lead lined drywall and lead walls if required. The CNC machining produced high tolerance slots, holes and cavities along with special inserts and threaded inserts for a large lead assemble at the customer facility. Lead glass was installed into the lead sheet. The x ray glass will allow the operator to work and be protected. A small lead lined door was also installed to allow products tested to be placed into the chamber and also removed.
- CNC mill a large lead shielding order for a national laboratory using Pick: Lead Brick per QQ-L-201f: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. This void free lead plate was required per customer provided blueprints to reduce leakage and maintain proper lead shielding requirements. Not all lead shielding requires this denser lead item, but in this case, it was specified. Ship overnight air to the customers facility in California for research and testing
- Pick in stock lead billets to produce Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 11/16″ wide x 1/2″ joint depth x 25 lb. spools. This order was delivered via Nuclead trucking to a New Jersey water proofing company.
- Cut Lead Sheet: 1/16″ x 2.00″ x 12.75″: Sawed Lead Strips Cut to Tolerances +/- 1/64″ Length and Width. Sold and shipped to an oceanographic research company in New England for ocean reach as lead weights. All lead products can be custom made into lead weight including lead sheets, lead ingots, lead bricks and lead shot ballast. These industrials and commercial lead items were delivered via Nuclead Trucking.
- Produce lead tubing to fabricate 1.50″ Lead Gutter Outlets @ 50 PCs. /Carton. Sold and delivered to a local distributor for nationwide sale in big box hardware stores. The seamless lead pipe in specialty formed via a CNC process to maintain tolerances and consistency. Lead extrusions of lead sleeves by Nuclead produce void free lead products for this application.
- Ship Nuclead Brand, “Puritan” Babbitt: Per ASTM B-23 #8 (White Babbitt): 5% tin / 15% antimony / balance Lead. The 10# lead alloy ingots were produced with virgin lead, virgin antimony and virgin tin for the most pure and accurate lead based babbitt allowable. Bearing babbitt of this grade are a common purchase when hard Babbitt is required instead of soft Babbitt.
- Pick pure lead products for sale by Nuclead to manufacture Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 11/16″ wide x 1/2″ joint depth, custom cut into 96.00″ long lengths; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Codes. Delivered to a weather proofing company in New Jersey. The pure lead billets produce the saftest and most durable weathercap on the market today.
- Cast Nuclead brand square edges, Lead Brick: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Drop ship to a cancer hospital in New York City for radiation therapy room maintenance. The lead blocks meet the customers’ needs per their written specifications and purchase order per ASTM-B-29. Nuclead can provide square lead brick and interlocking lead brick with or without coating as customer requests. These radiation bricks were manufactured without coatings or finishes as requested. The order was delivered via Nuclead trucking to help expedite the order.
- Extrude soft lead round bar stock: 1.00″ dia. x 44.00″ long each. Sold to an industrial OEM of plating tanks as lead anodes. Nuclead also processes lead anodes in square bar stock or lead tubing to custom sizes per customers written specifications. All lead for sale is certified and produce in the U.S.A
