Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.
Nuclead also has metals analysis capabilities such as nondestructive XRF (X-ray fluorescence) testing.

Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate and ship Lead wire: 1/2″ Diameter x 25-50 lb. spools. Sold to US Army Training Support Center for a unknown program.
- Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Interlocking lead brick (2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″), chevron style: Sold to a machine shop in New Jersey for its own value added services.
- Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2″ x 4″ x 8″; sold to a marina in New England for ship ballast.
- Fabricate and ship 26,000 lb of “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2″ x 4″ x 8″; sold to a Science laboratory in Texas for radiation shielding.
- Fabricate and ship: Lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″:1/32″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 5/8″ sheet rock. Also supplied Lead screw shield(s), 1/32″ to prevent leakage of sheet rock screws. Sold to a General contractor in New England for installation purposes.
- Fabricate and ship lead Sheet Rock, 48.00″ x 96.00″:1/32″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. Sold to a Surgical group in Colorado for a x-ray room installation project.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Babbitt, #4 Hardware Babbitt: 1-2% Antimony/ Balance Pb (lead); Sold to a bearing OEM in Arkansas for their fabrication processes.
- Fabricate Lead Round Bar Stock: 3.00″ diameter pure lead. Sold to Michelin Tire Corp for unknown project needs.
- Fabricate and ship Virgin Zinc: Grade A “Zn”, Bar: 1.03″ dia. x 16.00″ long. Sold to commercial glass company using the items for custom glass installation.
- Fabricate per customer specification: Receive: Pure (metals basis) Lead Metal Single Crystal Oriented. Produce micro test coupons for fusion testing at a national laboratory.
- Fabricate and ship micro Lead tubing: 5/16″ diameter OD x .032″ wall x 25# spool. Sold to an electronics company in New England for radiation shielding purposes.
- Fabricate and ship two sets of Hard Lead Disc: 0.25mm thick x 12.7mm diameter OD. “Each”, Package includes: 1: One disc as described above; and 2: One disc as described above with a 1mm diameter hole in center through 0.25 mm thickness. Sold to a University in Georgia for radiation shielding of a research project.
- Fabricate and ship Lead foil: 0.005″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50#: Alloy: Conforms to ASTM B29; UNS L51121; >= 99.90% Pb and shall be manufactured using lead comprised of very soft lead. Rolls were provided with the same lot numbers. Packaged with End Caps required to prevent damage. Sold to a Lockheed Martin sub-contractor for lead shielding with 3M PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) laminated to one side.
- Nuclead ships second release of four received this year for Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems Orders: Aerospace & Defense Customer Places multi-release contract for an order of machined sound proofing items using Syntactic SADM Foam Materials: Nuclead shipped 1 release of 4 this week of a new purchase order received last month; of machined sound-proofing components for the Low Cost Conformal Array (LCCA) being manufactured by Lockheed Martin’s Maritime Systems & Sensors( MS2) Undersea Systems business for the U.S. Navy’s submarine force.
- Material Analyzed: Non-destructive X-ray testing; 2 sigma standard deviation; Report of Customer supplied items. Tested 4 samples of mining oar material for a mine in Utah.

- Saw and ship Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 36.00″ x 36.00″; sold to a medical OEM in new England for radiation shielding of their equipment
- Cut and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 10.00″ x 12.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Sold to a medical OEM in Florida for a prototype research equipment.
- Cut and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 12.00″ x 12.00″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Sold to a general contractor in Ohio for a medical facility x-ray room installation, for x-ray shielding.
- Pick and ship Nuclead Lead threaded, fit all plugs: 5.50″. SKU: Nuclead 5.5″ clean out plug; Listing ID: 1110OF3ON43; Condition: New; for our Amazon store front. Sold to a customer in Pennsylvania for personal use.
- Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx 40#-70# ingots (approx size: 3″ x 3″ x 18″, loaf shape): Sold to a commercial farm in Illinois for ballast of farming heavy equipment.
- Saw and ship: Lead sheet: 1/64″ x 12.00″ x 24.00″: Sold to a university in Pennsylvania for radiation shielding of a research project.
