Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication and pours, 3D and CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate and ship one truck load of “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square Edges Lead Bricks 2″ x 4″ x 8″. Sold to a commercial Oyster fishing company in Massachusetts for ballast.
- Fabricate and ship pure lead 1.38″ diameter extruded lead bar stock; sold to a company that fabricates CT scanning equipment in Massachusetts
- Fabricate and ship seamless lead tubing with 3.50″ diameter id x 20.00″ long. Sold to a metal distributor in California for resale.
- Fabricate and ship pure lead 5/8″ diameter extruded bar stock; sold to a company in Virginia for turbine manufacturing support.
- Fabricate and ship lead elevator counterweights per customer blueprints. Sold to an elevator service company in Maryland. The company followed up with a duplicate order the next week.
- Fabricate and ship 6% – 7% Antimony lead round bar stock this was sold to a machine shop for its own value added services.
- Fabricate and ship: Seamless Pure Lead sleeves; per ASTM-B-29: 5.50″ diameter ID x 7/32″ / 3/16″ wall x 26.00″ long. Sold to an electrical contractor working on shielding high power lines.
- Fabricate and ship 6% antimony lead round bar stock: Fabricate 4.50″ diameter and 5/8″ diameter stock: Sold to a machine shop in Utah for its own, unknown value added services.
- Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square Edges Lead Bricks: 2″ x 4″ x 12″; shipped to Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS), Physical Sciences. This will be used for a research and development project.
Valued Added Engineering Services
- Nuclead ships first release of three for Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems Order: Aerospace & Defense Customer Places multi-release contract for an order of machined sound proofing items: Nuclead shipped 1 release of 3 this week of a new purchase order received last month; of machined sound-proofing components for the Low Cost Conformal Array (LCCA) being manufactured by Lockheed Martin’s Maritime Systems & Sensors(MS2) Undersea Systems business for the U.S. Navy’s submarine force.
- Customer supplied Nuclead with 0.002″ thick pure Copper foil. Nuclead applied 3m 97057 transfer adhesive to one side and spliced to 1/2″ thick rolls (+/- 0.015″), and supplied onto plastic spools. This project goes with a .005″ lead foil & 0.003″ Copper foil that Nuclead fabricates and sold to Lockheed Martin for unknown purposes.
- Lead Welding of lead shielding to 55 gallon drums. Used for radiation waist protection and sold to a disposal company in Florida.
Fabricate and ship lead shielding clamps per customer blueprints. Shipped to an OEM that specializes in airport security scanners for both people and baggage in Massachusetts.

- Pick and ship Amazon store order: Lead threaded, fit all plugs: 1.50″ shipped to a customer in Salt Lake City, UT for unknown use.
- Pick and ship Amazon store order: Lead threaded, fit all plugs: 5.50″ shipped to a customer in Joppa, MD for unknown use.
- Pick and ship Amazon store order: Lead threaded, fit all plugs: 4.50″ shipped to a customer in Fairless Hills, PA for unknown use.
- Ship 1/24″ lead soundproof sheeting; sold to a sound proofing company for inventory of their pending work orders in New York city.
