Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Bricks, Lead Foil, Lead Pipe, Lead Molds.
Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the world.
Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate and ship Lead foil: 0.010″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121:
Rolls must be from the same lot number; Package with End Caps required. Sold to an OEM of special packaging units for Lockheed Martin. - Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″; Sold to a medical OEM in California, and shipped to Massachusetts General. The bricks will be used at the Hospital for installation of medical imaging equipment for its’ radiation protection purposes around the equipment.
- Fabricate and ship Lead pipe/sleeve 3.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20.00″ L: Sold to a machine shop in California for unknow value added services.
- Fabricate complete per customer blue prints and ship: Lead weight per drawing provided including all notes, materials and tolerances. Sold to Northrop Grumman Corp. Aerospace Systems for sophisticated counterweights for an unknow project.
- Fabricate and ship “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. Sold to an OEM of calibration equipment. The lead bricks will be used for X-ray Shielding during operation of the calibration process.
- Nuclead produces lead and tin alloys for Plating & Electrodes company in California: The alloys consist of a Cast product of Lead 98.75% / Tin 1.25% & in rectangular block shape. The dimensions are 1.00″ x 6.00″ x 6.00″.
- Fabricate an aluminum and lead assembly per customer blue prints to within 0.003”. This product was sold and shipped to Brown University for experimental use.
- Fabricate lead molds and cast Pure Lead into multiple cavity molds, per customer written specifications. Nuclead poured and delivered 3 tons of custom lead weight and sold to a major production company in New York for an Emerson University show in Boston. Nuclead was awarded the order for its ability to deliver the products quickly to the theater for opening night festivities.
- Cast Lead Alloy: “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 7% Tin/93% lead; 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00; Sold to a Chemical & Etching corporation in the Midwest. These alloy ingots will be used for a custom etching process and chemical conversion coatings.
Fabricate and ship Lead sheeting: 1/64″ x 48.00″ x 242.00″: sold to an artist studio in New York that uses the heavy soft lead materials as a base foundation to many of its art works. - Nuclead Ships first release of 2018 to Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission Systems. Nuclead ships Syntactic Foam material with value added services to Lockheed that placed a multi-release contract earlier this year; of machined sound proofing items.

- Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Min buy: 25#; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Sold to a retortion company in Cincinnati, OH.
- Cut and ship five (5) sheets of Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 5/64″ Le x 9mm thick 23.25” x 45.25” x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Sold to a construction company in Vermont for a new medical facility radiation department.
- Saw and ship special Lead Flashing 1/16″ x 48.00″ x 48.00″; Sold to a general contractor using this large lead flashing for a job site in Vermont.
- Pick and ship Nuclead brand 1.25″ Lead Gutter Outlets: Sold to a restoration company in New England that renovates only pre-1800 buildings to their original condition.
- Pick and ship Lead Soundproofing sheet: (1.15#) 0.020″ x 48.00″ x 240.00″; Re-roll mill fabricated product onto one solid fiber core. Sold to a firm in New York that specializes in custom soundproofing applications for government and military component and facilities.
- Pick and ship Lead sheeting: 1.59mm x 10mm x 450mm; Chemical Grade C per QQ-L-201f. Sold to a machine shop in Quebec, Canada for its own value-added services. Nuclead was awarded the contract for its ability to ship the order overnight.
- Pick & Ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Sold to an aviation maintenance contractor at an international airport for routine propeller maintenance in Texas.
- Pick & Ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape); Sold to a wholesaler in California for re-sale.
