Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate CNC Lead Milling and forward Lead Discs per QQ-L-201f, Grade C, Chemical Lead/Domestic. 3.450″ dia. x .270″ thick. Tolerance to be +/-0.005″ for both thickness and diameter. Sold to Fort Knox for weight standards to compare with gold and other precious metals.
- Cut many pieces of Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 16.00″ x 11.875″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv. Sold and delivered to a general contractor in Florida for restoration of an X-ray department at a local hospital.
- CNC Machine many lead components for American Science and Engineering ZBV. The CVB (Click this link to see a video) is a back scanner x-ray technology that is used for security scanning to border crossings, loading docks and mobile check points; in the U.S.A. and abroad. The lead x-ray shielding provided by Nuclead protects the operators and general public from radiation produced by the x-rays.
- Fabricate CNC Lead Machining and Drop ship 1/8” thick Lead radiation shielding. Sold to a radiation and detection company in Massachusetts for field work across the nation and worldwide.
- CNC Machine pure copper per Copper per ASTM-B-152 munition seals for the U.S. Army. Tolerance’s of +/- 0.001” required with full documentation and certifications. Three separate blueprint items were delivered together in one consignment to buyer in New Jersey.
- Lead Cast Lead 6% Antimony: 8.50″ dia. x 4.50″ long. Sold to a machine shop in California of their own value-added service.
- Lead Cast Nuclead “Puritan” Brand, Pure Caulking Lead: Five count of Virgin 5# ingots. Sold to Government purchasing agent GSA. Shipped to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma for their inventory.
- Lead pour Nuclead Brand of Lead brick. Custom Lead Fabrication per customer specifications. Sold to Sandford University’s Platform Laboratory. The custom lead weights will be used on their platforms to enable control of big swarms of collaborative devices such as drones, self-driving cars and robots.
From Inventory
- Cut and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly. 35.687″ x 19.687″ x (14mm) x 7/64″Le x 200kv. Sold to a glass company in Ohio for installation of their customers’ requirements in the medical industry.
- Cut and ship Lead Glass: Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly.
21.75″ x 40.75″ x 8.5-9.5mm x 5/64″Le x 150kv. Sold to a Commercial General contractor and Engineering firm in New York City. The Lead glass will be used for lead x-ray glass in an urgent care unit in Brooklyn. - Pick stock and size Lead Glass: Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 57.50″ x 34.25” x 9mm x 2mm (5/64″) Le x 150kv. Transport via LTL trucking to a Real Estate Corporation in Texas for construction of a new veterinarian facility for animal ad people radiation protection during x-ray services provided.
- Lead extrusions: Fabricate 6% Antimony Lead Wire: 3/8″ Dia. x 25 lb. spools. Sold to a machine shop in Utah to CNC turn their product to customer specifications.
- Lead Extrusions 3% Antimony/Lead Wire: 1/16″ dia. x 25lb spools. Sold to a battery manufacturer that uses the antimony lead for its manufacturing proses.
- Lead Extrusion Lead pipe: 0.75″ id x 1/8″ wall x 72.00″ lg. sold and delivered to a water treatment facility in Pennsylvania for testing lab.
- Pick and haul 3 tons of Pure lead Pig ingots 40#-70# ingots. Approximate size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape. Lead item is going to be used as ship ballast for a sailing vessel in New York.
- Pick and ship 1 ton of Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: sold to a reseller in Indian for resale to an aviation manufacturer.
- Pick and dispatch Lead Wool per QQ-C-40 to an aviation repair facility in Texas for scheduled preventive maintained of airplane propellers.
- Pick and saw Lead pipe: 1.25″ id x 1/8″ wall x 30.00″ lg. Sold Stanford University in California for radiation shielding in their research department
- Pick and dispatch Lead Wool per QQ-C-40 to a masonry firm on Canada. This customer uses the Nuclead lead wool as joint caulking while install lead flashing into walls and chimneys. The lead wool is installed into the joint with the lead flashing and compressed into the joint to make a tight waterproof seal. The mortar is them installed over the assembly
