Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead based products such lead pipe, lead shielding, and lead flashing.
In this post we first we list some of the lead products we shipped form our in stock inventory. Nuclead has one of the largest lead products inventories in the USA, as you can see, we are able to ship many items from stock.
In addition, Nuclead provides value added services that allow us to custom fabricate lead products and other metal products to your specifications, you can see many examples of lead fabricated products in this report including lead bricks, lead foil, lead gutter outlets and lead weights.
In particular this month we shipped a significant order of custom lead blocks and custom lead alloy blocks to a customer in Santa Clara, CA. You can read more about this order later in this report.
We recently began offering a metals analysis service, and this month we provided an analysis for a metals distributor.

- Picked and shipped for in stock inventory: 4″ lead Pipe. Used buy a commercial fishing company in Warwick, RI; for line and rig weights.
- Picked and shipped 2″ diameter pure lead pipe. Sold to a general contractor for water displacement of an old home in West Tisbury, Martha’s Vineyard, MA
- Sawn from in stock inventory: 1/2″ lead shielding plate. Sold to a machine shop in Beverly, MA for its own value added
- Picked and shipped from in-stock inventory: 48″ special wide lead flashing. Sold to a Granite fabricator in Eden, NC
- Picked and shipped re-claimed lead shot for ballast weight. Sold to the Marine Corp Air Station in Cherry Point, NC
- Picked and shipped lead foil; sold to MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Lexington, MA for a research and development project.
- Sawed and shipped lead shielding, sold to a machine shop in Saco, ME for its own value added services.
- Picked and shipped from in stock inventory, lead wool. Sold to a restoration contractor in Pittsfield, NH for stone flashing.
- Picked and shipped pure lead foil. Sold to a non-destructive testing laboratory for comparisons testing in Richland, WA
Custom Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricated and shipped pure lead and Lead /Tin alloy blocks, these were sold to a finish and plating company in Santa Clara, CA. The company is working on a project that involves electroplating pure Lead for an end customer and need to source new higher purity lead anodes. The company needs to fill a 6″x6″x2″ basket. This could be done using a single slug or multiple slugs (for example 3 @ 2″x2’x6″ bars or 12 @ 1″ dia x 6″ rods). The company needs to get the configuration for highest purity at lowest cost so Nuclead can be flexible on form. At this point they are looking for an equivalent of 10 6″x6″x2″ parts. They also acquired this in an alloy with as close to 1.25% Tin. This helps us reduce the production costs in the future. Future orders, the volume on purchases of the ‘custom’ material would be in the tons per order range. Nuclead provide materials for their immediate needs for the pure lead and lead/tin alloy above.
- Fabricated and shipped pure lead gutter outlets. Sold to a general contractor for a restoration project in Leominster, MA
- Fabricated and shipped standard pure lead bricks. Sold to a Surgical Hospital in Springfield, OH. The customer required lead brick for additional shielding in their hot laboratory.
- Fabricated and shipped custom lead weights for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts; for ocean research equipment.
- Fabricated and shipped to customer specifications; .010″ x 16″ wide pure lead foil for shielding purposes for this OEM.
- Fabricated and shipped pure virgin caulking lead. Sold to an OEM in Vienna, IL for soldering purposes.
- Fabricated and shipped.005″ pure lead foil, this was sold to an oil refinery company in Claremore, OK
- Fabricated and shipped special thick lead flashing. Sold to a building wholesaler in Pittsburgh, PA
- Fabricated and shipped various sizes of lead foil. Sold to a Printing and Design company in Ocean City, NJ; for test folding and wrapping a new procedure.
- Fabricated and shipped special electronic tin / lead solder. Shipped to a government manufacturer in Los Angeles, CA
- Fabricated and shipped, lead plates to customer blue print specifications. Weight was crucial in this research and development project. Shipped to Toshiba, a multinational conglomerate company, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo.
- Fabricated and shipped lead foil with black vinyl on one side and PSA on the other. Sold to a medical Original equipment manufacturer in Randolph, VT
- Fabricated and shipped lead wire for a medical OEM in Edinboro, PA
- Fabricated and shipped lead shield plates for research and development project. Sold to the VA hospital in Cheyenne, WY
- Fabricated and shipped lead plate. Sold to a machine shop in Beverly, MA for its own value added services.
