Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
From Inventory
- Saw and ship Lead sheet: 1/64″ x 48.00″ x 84.00″: Sold to a general contractor for soundproofing installation for a sound studio in Pennsylvania.
- Cut and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer preparation and assembly on site,
37.75″ x 43.75″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv. Sold to a General contractor in Pennsylvania for a medical facility installation. - Saw and ship Lead sheet: 5/32″ x 24.00″ x 48.00″; sold to a machine shop in New England for its own value-added services.
- Pick and ship 2.00″ Lead Gutter Outlets, 1.75″ Lead Gutter Outlets & 1.50″ Lead Gutter Outlets. Sold to a national wholesale distributor for re-sale to local hardware stores for re-sale.
- Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Sold to a municipality in the mid-west to be used for a small plumbing project their DPW is working on.
- Pick and ship from in stock inventory: Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape): Sold to a Marinna in the North East for Lead Boat Ballast.
- Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Sold to an Aviation and Propeller company in Florida for its manufacturing processes.
- Pick and ship Lead sheet: 0.040″ x 48.00″ x 291.00″: Sold to a metal exporter in Miami, Fl to be shipped to the Dominican Republic for re-sale.
- Cut to customer specification and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 37.75” x 43.75″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv; Sold to a General Contractor in the North East for a medical facility installation.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate and ship Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.50″ wide x .812″ joint depth x (Ref: Approx.; Three 7′ long lengths per 25# billet extruded). 25# min. buy required; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S: Sold to a general contractor in Nebraska renovating an historical private home to its original conditions.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# in 40′ spools. Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures. Sold to a restoration company in New York for a restoration project.
- Fabricate and ship lead solder Option: 40/60 (40% Tin / 60% Lead); 4#- 6# cake (ingot, bar or notched). Sold to a mass transit authority in the northeast to be used as wiping solder for their subway trains.
Valued Added Engineering Services
- Fill pure copper cavity with Pure Lead, complete per blueprint provided by customer. All items were shipped to include all applicable labor, materials, tolerances and notes & shipped to Harvard Physics Dept., c/o Northwestern U. the weight of the items must be exact for their experimental purposes.
- Fabricate and ship a lead shielded X-ray containment box per customer supplied blueprints and specifications. This customer fabricated shielding unit has several components and thoroughly lead lined inside with no leakage allowed. Nuclead also primed and painted the lead assembly with 100% coverage as the unit will be used in a medical environment. The smaller opening on the top allows the X-ray equipment to be placed inside the lead containment vessel and the lead x-ray glass allows the operator to see inside while collecting data with the attached electronic chassis provided by Nuclead. This lead lined containment box was shipped to a medical facility in New England this week.
- Fabricate and ship: .010″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other x 60′ long. This lead lined item is sold to a medical OEM that uses the lead foil shielding with the vinyl as protection from its technicians and equipment installers for contact with the lead. It also provides a very nice aesthetic look to their equipment.
