Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead-based products such as Lead Sheet, Lead Shields, Antimony Lead, Lead T-Caps.

Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the USA.

Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services

Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.

Fabricated Lead Products

• Size to specifications and package for will call; Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 36.00″ x 84.00″. Sold to a local metal fabrication firm that use the lead shielding for production of x-ray shielding panels.
• CNC machine thousands of chemical lead shear shields per customer blue prints. These items are machined and QC per ISO 9001-2015 standards. This customer resells them to a defense sub-contractor for aviation purposes. Tolerances and specifications need to be 100% compliant.
• Fabricate non-ferrous metal components to aerospace tolerances, using customer specified copper alloys. Sold and shipped to defense sub-contractor in Canada.
• 6% antimony lead cast: 6% Antimony lead round bar stock: Best effort to be void free. 4.00″ dia. x 12.00″ lg., Raw materials delivered for customers own value-added services.
• Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Min buy: 25#; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Sold to a masonry company in Canada for restoration of a stone wall.
• Lead cast: “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Interlocking: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″ brick, chevron style: Sold to a medical OEM in Massachusetts using the lead brick shielding, as x-ray protection in their equipment testing lab.
• Zinc cast: Virgin Zinc: Grade A “Zn”, Bar: 1.03″ dia. x 16.00″ long. Sold to a firm in New England that uses the materials during their manufacturing processes, of automobile cabin, electronic components. We also ship Virgin Antimony: Grade A “Sb” for typical processes they do, per different specifications.
• Produce and deliver: Solder: 30Sn/70Pb Extruded bar; solder. Meter Bar: 1lb. per stick; Approx.: 1/2″dia. x 14″. This auto body customer uses the Nuclead solder for body filling and restoration of classic vehicles. Body solder is a type of solder used to smooth the surface of automobile bodies before painting. It I primarily used during restorations of classical vehicle to their original conditions.
• Fabricate special long lead gutter outlets for a local customer. By using Nuclead’s’ in stock item (Lead pipe: 1.25″ id x 1/8″ wall x 60.00″ lg.) Nuclead was able to produce the special gutter, outlet and downspout combinations for a restoration project in Massachusetts.
• Produce and ship via freight, 10,000# of “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Brick: 2″ x 4″ x 8″. These items are sold to a Science and development firm in Texas and will be used for radiation shielding.
• Fabricate special lead weights from customer written blueprints and specifications. These special lead weights are used as fabrication tooling during high volume welding production. The lead is used as it is less likely to spark during welding.
• CNC machine per customer written blueprint specifications, custom chemical lead shear seals.
• Produce Lead Soundproofing sheet: (1.15#) 0.021″ x 48.00″ x 240.00″; Re-roll mill fabricated product onto one solid fiber core. The items were delivered to a government sub-contractor that uses the Nuclead lead, to fabricate custom soundproofing wall for government entities per order. The Noise control solutions are used from a full range of industry, from aircraft to marine, medical and transportation.
• Produce several dozen tight tolerance 6% lead sheeting. 0.098″ (+/- 0.004″) x 7.50″ x 15.00″, Raw material quoted for customer Jobs and their own value-added service.
• Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1.00″ wide x 11/16″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Min buy: 25#; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Sold to a General contractor in New York for a restoration project of existing joint caulk and sealant failure. The locations such as a masonry/stone parapet, coping, balustrade, railing, cornice, belt course ledges, or any other exterior masonry/stone features where the top surface is exposed. This also includes corner and fillet joints where a horizontal surface joins to a vertical surface; with horizontal protection to extend down over front and back edges 2″ or to an appropriate stopping point to protect the exposed corner.
• Saw Lead sheet: 1/16″ x 6.00″ x 120.00″ and deliver to a general contractor in Philadelphia using the special thick cut lead for roof flashing.
• Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 11/16″ wide x 1/2” joint depth x 25# (Ref: 60′) spool(s). Min buy: 25#; “Type A” = Flat cap; Per U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation Technical Procedures Code: #07656-01 & #765601S. Sold and delivered to a general contractor in Oklahoma for a masonry restoration project.

From Inventory

• Cut Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 23.62″ x 23.62″ x 7-8mm x 1/16″Le x 150kv; Sold and shipped to a construction company in North Carolina who is building a new Radiation therapy department and using the lead shielding for radiation protection.
• Pick & deliver Lead 6% antimony: 5/8″ x 1.75″ x 9.25″, Raw material quoted for customers own value-added services
• Draw and consign Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3.00″ x 3.00″ x 18.00″, loaf shape). Sold to a machine shop om Illinois for unknow lead manufacturing purposes
• Pick and forward 500# Lead Wool per QQ-C-40, to a re-seller in Indiana.
• Pick Lead sheeting: 0.021″ x 24.00″ x 48.00″ and ship to a fabricator in Maine for its own value-added services.
• Pick and ship 2″ Lead Outlets. Sold to a local general contractor using the Nuclead Lead gutter outlets for a restoration project.
• Draw from inventory and deliver Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots. Sold to an ocean research firm in New England for lead counterweights of ocean sampling laboratories.
