Another interesting week at Nuclead, we again shipped lead shielding, this time the lead shielding was custom machined. Nuclead can custom machine to you drawings and for your specific application including lead shielding for radiation shielding, such as X-ray shielding and nuclear shielding. We can fabricate custom sizes and alloys can be specially fabricated depending on your sound reduction material, radiation sheeting or x-ray plate needs. Materials for neutron shielding and nuclear shielding are also available.
Additional several of the shipments involved fabrication of custom items. Here are some details of last week’s shipments from Nuclead and Sharp Manufacturing:
Nuclead CNC machined custom blue prints of lead shielding items, for Brookhaven National Laboratory Upton, NY. Brookhaven National Laboratory is a multipurpose research institution funded primarily by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science.
We fabricated and shipped 640 pounds of lead diving weights. To be used by Kansas Wildlife Parks & Tourism division Rangers for underwater scuba diving training, the lead diving weights were delivered to Pratt, Kansas
