Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked for our large in-stock inventory of lead products.
Custom Fabricated Lead Products

- Fabricate and ship Split lead sleeves per customer specifications. These items will be used by a customer that fabricates radiation door hardware and locks. The split sleeves are used on the lock sets to prevent radiation leakage.
- Fabricate several different lead counterweights using Chemical Lead plate:1″ thick for Lockheed Martin Co. Aeronautics division. Theses lead counter weights are extremely fussy and machined using a CNC machining center.
- Fabricate and ship special lead tubing: Nuclead fabricated 2.40″ diameter OD x 3/4″ diameter ID lead tubing in 3 days for this customer that needed a quick delivery. in Virginia. The products were for radiation shielding of for an aerospace application.
- Extruded 1/2″ diameter round bar stock with 2% antimony and 98% lead. Fabricated per customer specifications and shipped this last release 4 of 4; for this quarter to a government sub-contractor in Connecticut. These items are used in the manufacturing of night vision goggles and distributed to all arm forces and police departments worldwide.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Sheet Rock, 48″ x 96″: 1/16″ Lead Sheeting, Bonded for installation purposes only, to; 1/2″ sheet rock. Sold to a general contractor in Brooklyn, NY for a radiology room.
From Inventory
Also, we have one of the largest lead products inventories in the USA, we are able to ship many items from stock, for example
- Extruded pure lead foil in 1″ wide rolls. Shipped to an ordinance and tactical systems OEM in Canada. The foil will be used as de-copper foil in munitions. for NATO governments.
- Fabricate and ship; Lead pipe/sleeve 3.50″ id x 3/16″ wall x 20″ long. Sold to a distributor in California for re-sale.
- Fabricated and shipped material: Lead sheeting per ASTM B749, L50049. Each set contains multiple sizes and thicknesses. Sold to a machine shop in Massachusetts. This fabricator will be using the materials for customer made weights for Lockheed Martin orders this year. The order is several releases for the year.
- Cut and shipped 6% Antimony lead sheeting: This product is used for test comparisons to other materials for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
- Sawed and shipped 0.6 mm lead shielding to the University of North Carolina for Bio-medical Research Imaging
- Cut and ship Lead Glass: Provided for customer prep &/or assembly. 7-8 mm x 1/16″Le x 150 kv. Sold to a general contractor in Texas fabricating a new radiology department.
- Cut and shipped lead x-ray glass. Sold to an X-ray OEM in Illinois for a new prototype equipment.
- Picked and shipped lead ship ballast: Shipped 50,000# of ship ballast to a vessel in dry dock and in need of repair in New York Harbor.
- Picked and shipped lead tubing; This lead tubing will be used as lead shielding materials on Marine Vessels. Shipped to a Marina in Massachusetts.
