Lead Test Weights
In many applications it is necessary to test the capabilities of a particular system, to determine values such as the maximum allowable weight for example in testing of elevators and hydraulic hoists.
In addition, test weights are required to ensure the accuracy of weighing machines such as agricultural scales
Lead Counterweights
Some of the many applications for lead counterweights include
- Crane Weights
- Bridge Weights
- Forklift Truck Weights
- Door counter Weights
- Motion Picture Camera Weights
- Theatrical Weights
- Window Sash Weights
Nuclead has the capabilities to produce counter weights in any size including orders for 300,000 pound lead crane weights, custom counter weights for defense applications and navy ship ballast counter weights.
Pile Driver weights
A pile driver is a mechanical device used to drive piles, typically made of timber, steel, or reinforced concrete, into soil to provide foundation support for buildings or other structures.
A typical pile driver includes a heavy weight placed between guides so that it is able to freely slide up. The weight is raised and then released so that it impacts the pile drives it into the ground.
Aerospace Weights
Aerospace weights are used for stress testing of various aircraft parts, to test weight limitations consistent with safe structural design and for control weights to ensure the balance of the aircraft.
Aerospace weights are also used to test the forecasting of payload/range figures and inertias for Structural Engineering calculations.
