Nuclead has lead foil, lead sheet and lead plates in stock and can ship orders quickly to its customers. For Lead Foil Nuclead provides any size to the tenth of a thousand (.0000″) from .0020″ to .0310″ thick. Widths 1/8″ wide and up to lengths up to 200′ long. Our foils are rolled on heavy duty fiber cores. End caps can be provided to protect against shipping damage. This allows a perfect roll on your dock.
Lead Foil value added – Nuclead can laminate your foil with PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive), PSA with release paper, vinyl or any other product specified. We can stamp, laminate or for assemble any application.
Here are recent some shipments
- Special Lead foil: 0.008″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. Rolls must be from the same lot number. Delivered to an OEM of a government contractors for lead shielding. Thin lead sheet or lead foil can be produced as thin as 0.0020” thick. It also can be produced as thick as 3” thick per QQ-l-201-f as lead plates. lead sheets can be fabricated using pure lead products or antimony lead. Lead sheet metal is the perfect material for radiation shielding for these customers applications.
- Fabricate and ship Special Lead foil: 0.010″ (+/- .0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121. This custom and thin lead sheeting is used as x ray lead. The lead lined sheets are very thin and called lead foil. All the lead lining will be used in a final assembly of security scanners for a US government sub-contractor to protect people and equipment as radiation shielding.
- Ship Special lead materials: Lead foil: 0.008″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# per UNS L51121: Rolls must be from the same lot number and certified. The nonferrous metals are manufactured into lead ingots. Afterwards cast into lead plate, the lead items are to be milled into lead sheet per QQ-201-f. The final process requires the lead sheets to be precision rolled into lead foil and cut into finished product.
- Provide Custom Lead foil: 0.005″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50# rolls per UNS L51121: Lead rolls were produced all from the same lot number per customer request. The thin lead sheet is used as lead lining for radiation protection for a government sub-contractor. Nuclead provides lead products for sale and value-added service per customer blueprints or written specifications.
- Fabricate and ship, Special lead items of Lead foil: 0.008″ (+/- 0.0005″) x 12.00″ x 50#, per UNS L51121: Rolls were produced from the same lot number. Lead foil, lead sheet and lead sheeting all comply to QQ-L-201-F and certified the same. They can be used as lead plate, lead panels or sheet lead as Krt lead sheeting. This order was delivered and used at Lockheed Martin for radiation protection.
- Provide scrap lead chips, dross, foil, solids, reclaimed shot or shavings for miscellaneous lead weight or lead ballast or for smelting. Nuclead provide this reclaimed lead in mixed sizes, debris & grades. All salvaged lead by Nuclead is uncertified. Scrap lead can be used for ship ballast or boat ballast also. This lead order for sale was delivered to a company in New York that are experts in façade access systems and will use the lead product as lead counterbalance material.
- Supply special lead items with 0.020″ Lead foil with black vinyl laminated to one side and PSA with release paper on the other @ 1.50″ wide x 40′ long. Lead lining is a very efficient manner of lead shielding protection and having a nice cosmetic lay or protection for the operator and patients. X ray shielding delivered to their medical equipment OEM is sold nearly every quarter by Nuclead.
- Extrude 2,500# of pure lead foil tape per specifications >=97%-98% Pure Lead (Pb). Sold & fabricated as, “Each”, this Lead foil is sized as 0.005” (+/-.001″) x 1.00″ x approximately 5 lb. each, on fiber cores at 202’ long lead coils. Nuclead fabricates this lead product for sale in the United States at its West Bridgewater plant in Massachusetts. Nuclead latest revision of OSHA approved SDS & Conflict material, CFSI_CMRT is on file at the customers facility from prior orders. The thin lead foil is for oil rig companies that require specialized OEM equipment for turbomachinery & process solutions (TPS). The equipment provides related services for mechanical-drive, compression and power-generation applications across the oil and gas industry and energy industry, on-and-offshore including, LNG, pipeline and gas storage, refining, petrochemical, distributed gas and flow processes.
