Nuclead Announces Recent Orders for Lead Wire to Customers in the USA and Canada

The Lead Wire will be used for many applications in the medical, chemical, aviation, metal finishing, roofing and other industries.

West Bridgewater, MA, 8/27/2019 – Nuclead Inc., a leader in lead materials and lead products announces the shipment of several orders for extruded lead wire. The orders were shipped to customers throughout the USA and Canada.

Lead extruded into the form of wire is used in many applications where Lead’s flexibility, corrosion resistance and density is useful. These orders represent a wide range of applications and industries as noted below.

Nuclead’s Lead wire is available in pure or alloyed lead wire rolls and meeting ASTM B29 03 or QQ-L-177e are supplied in lengths ranging from 8 feet to 500 feet (Or longer for custom orders). Lead wire is typically supplied in diameters ranging from 0.0625” to 1.50”, with various cross-sectional profiles.

Lead wire is typically extruded, lead wire larger than ¾” is difficult to coil, so larger lead cores are usually extruded in straight lengths. Diameters larger than 1.5” in diameter are usually cast.

  • Fabricate lead extrusion, description Lead wire: 3/8″ Dia. x 25 lb. spools: Sold to an OEM Valve service company that uses the materials for checking clearance on gas compressors in Oklahoma. The soft lead has the required chemical properties to allow it to be cut and pressed in the cavity to be inspected afterwards.
  • Fabricate and ship 3,000# of 5/16″ lead wire cut to customer blueprints. This item is used for leads heavy & soft mechanical properties for a medical OEM in Pennsylvania.
  • Extrude lead wire per customer blueprints. This order consisted of 4,000# of pure lead wire for a medical OEM that uses the lead for its heavy flexible properties.
  • Fabricate 2 tons of Pure Lead Wire, 3/8” diameter x 33.00” long. Shipped to a medical OEM that uses Nuclead Pure Lead wire for its heavy, flexible properties in its assembly processes.
  • Lead extrusion 2,500# Lead wire: 5/16″ Dia. x 50 lb. spools. Sold to a medical OEM that requires the lead for its heavy and soft properties. The items will be used for surgical weights that are total FDA compliant and encapsulated in PVD and sterilized plastic.
  • Fabricate and ship Pure Lead Wire: 1/2″ Dia. x 25 lb. spools. Sold to a Hardware store in the gulf region for re-sale.
  • Extrude Lead Wire & ship: 5/8″ dia. x 25-50 lb. spools.: Sold to an aviation repair hanger in Missouri for balance weights during required routine maintenance.
  • Extrude Pure Lead wire: 5/16″ Dia. x 50 lb. spools; Sold 1 ton to a medical OEM in the northeast that uses the lead materials for its heavy and soft properties for their application.
  • Lead extrusion Lead wire: 5/8″ dia. x 25-50 lb. spools; Sold to a machine shop in Utah for its own value-added services.
  • Fabricate by lead extrusion: 3% Antimony / 97% Lead wire: lead anodes. Sold to a metal finishing company in New England for its plating tanks.
  • Fabricate and ship W-131: Wire 1%Sn / 99%Pb 1/8″ x 1# – 50# coils. Sold through Nuclead own on-line store and payment made using PayPal. Shipped an individual in Missouri.
  • Lead extrusions Lead wire: 1/4″ Dia. x 25 – 50 lb. spools. Sold to a specialized Aerodynamic engineering company that are using the lead stock as counterweights in the wind tunnels for motorized equipment in the conception stages.
  • Extrude Lead wire: 1/2″ Dia. x 25 lb. spool. Sold to a hardware store in Louisiana for resell to unknown buyers.
  • Lead extrusions provided 2 tons of 5/16” diameter lead wire on 50# spools. Then Nuclead fabricates the components per customer written specifications. The lead materials are used for its heavy soft property’s and used as flexible weight with a medical OEM that requires weight and flexibility at the same time for its items it manufactures.
  • Lead wire extrusion: 5/16″ Dia. x 50 lb. spools. Sold to a metal roofing company in Canada. This contractor uses the soft lead as a lead caulking, applied into the metal joints to present roof leaks.
  • Lead extrusion Lead wire: 3/4″ dia. x 25 lb. spools. (approx. 11′). Sold to University of Southern Florida and delivered to its machine shop for unknow value-added services.
  • Extrude Lead wire: 3/16″ dia. x 25 lb. spools. Sold to an aquatic testing las that uses the lead for testing purposes. The lead reacts to chlorine and the chemist test this reaction for sample testing.
