The Lead Bricks will be used in applications including Radiation Shielding, Lead weights and other private and Government projects
West Bridgewater, MA, 2/28/22 – Nuclead Inc., a leader in lead materials and technology announces the shipment of recent orders for Lead bricks to customers in several US locations.
Nuclead supplies both standard rectangular Lead Bricks and interlocking Lead bricks that have machined grooves to offer greater protection from gamma and nuclear radiation due to the tongue and groove design.
Both Lead bricks and Interlocking lead bricks can be supplied in various sizes – industry standard is the same size as clay bricks (8”x4”x2”) and weighs about 26lbs. – and are available in standard pours up to 40,000 lbs.
Recent Shipments
- Fabricate Lead molds and deliver Cast Lead Brick: 7.00″ x 13.50″ x 18.25″ certified per ASTM B-29. The custom Lead ingots where castings for a local machine shop. They will be using the cast Lead for their own value-added services. These Lead blocks weigh 706 lbs. each and were to ship via LTL carry.
- Cast pure lead to produce, “Nuclead” Brand, Cast 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″ Interlocking Lead bricks, chevron style. These interlocking bricks are made with the highest quality of our lead ingots. The lead bars are assembled as radiation shielding with no leakage.
- Fabricate Lead mold to yield Lead square bar: 3/16″ x 3/16″ x 600.00″ coils. Delivered the Lead produced to production equipment OEM. The Lead products will be used as Lead weights for their equipment manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Pour lead, “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Interlocking Lead Bricks 2.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″, chevron style. Shipped the lead blocks to the General Atomics department for a government Energy department. This lead brick shielding will be used be used as lead shielding of high voltage cables
- Casted 6% Antimony 94% Lead brick. CNC machine several Lead items to customer written specifications and blueprints. The Lead items were sold to a machine shop in Texas. This firm is performing their own value-added services for a government contractor. The cast Lead was void free for the CNC machining applications.
- Cast Square edges, Lead Bricks: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. sold to a local research and Industry company. The lead bricks for sale will be used as nuclear brick and radiation shielding in testing laboratory. Interlocking blocks or bricks could also be used for these purposes.
- Ship Painted lead bricks. Nuclead used pure pig lead to cast lead into the size: 3.00″ x 4.00″ x 12.00″lg; Per QQ-L-171 Grade B. Nuclead also encapsulate with high build epoxy; Devran #235. The Painted brick was black color with at least 8.0 mils thick & cured. Nuclead also shipped the painted lead brick in weatherproof packaging. Nuclead is a premier lead fabricator and provides lead weights and lead block to its customers written or blueprint specifications. These lead items for sale were delivered to a local government sub-contractor.
- Pour lead to fabricate, “Nuclead” Brand, Cast Square edges Lead Bricks: 1.00″ x 4.00″ x 8.00″. sold to a Scientific Research and Development Services Industry company in California. The lead items are used as radiation shielding during their experiment research and documentation. Lead brick and chevron lead bricks are the best choice for radiation shielding. Lead blocks also are small and dense for their size.
- Pick and ship Pure lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots (approx. size: 3″ x 4″ x 20″, loaf shape). Sold to local owner for boat ballast. This bulk lead order is used as lead weights in a marine application. Other lead materials that could be used are lead brick and pig lead.
