The Antimony Lead will be used in applications such as defense, aerospace, x-ray screening, and other radiation shielding applications
West Bridgewater, MA, 10/28/21 – Nuclead Inc., a leader in lead materials and technology announces the shipment of several orders of Antimony Lead Products shipped to customers in the USA and Canada,
Antimony (Sb) is typically added to Lead in the range of 0.5% to 12%. The most popular alloy is 6% Antimony, 92% Lead. In addition, Antimony is often used in bearing metal alloys, such as babbitt metal.
The main reason for using Antimony Lead is that it will hardness and mechanical strength of the Lead and make it easier to machine or cast. In addition, 6% antimonial lead is more resistant to corrosion than is soft Lead alone.
