The Lead Extrusion Products include Lead Tubing, Lead Coils, Lead Wire and Lead T-Caps and were shipped to customers throughout the USA.
West Bridgewater, MA, 2/28/2020 – Nuclead announces the shipment of several orders for Lead extrusion products.
Extruded products are produced by pulling metal, in this case lead, through a die with the required cross-section. Lead is particularly suited to this method due to it’s malleable nature, alloys of lead with Copper and Tin are also good choices.
A continuous lead extrusion process will produce an object of theoretically infinite length, while a semi continuous process will produce many similar pieces. This process allows for the production of very complex cross sections.
In a vertical extrusion process molten lead may also be used in place of billets. Large tubes up to 300 mm in lead alloys can be extruded over liquid metal
Lead and lead/tin pipes, pressure tubes (copper lead) and cable sheathing are typical products and applications.
Nuclead has the capabilities to extrude Lead in any size and shape the resulting product can machined, finished, PSA applied or laminated as needed.
