Every month at Nuclead we ship a large variety of lead based products such as Radiation Shielding, Lead Shielding, lead Foil, Lead T-Caps.
Here are some of the items we shipped recently to customers around the world.
Some of these shipments required significant fabrication activities, some just need to be cut to size or simply picked from our large in-stock inventory of lead products and some require valued added engineering services.
Nuclead’s custom precision engineering services include mold fabrication as well as the production of lead alloy and other alloys, CNC machining, stamping and cutting, welding and lead assembly, lamination and PSA adhesive application.
Fabricated Lead Products
- Fabricate and ship: Cast Lead brick: 3.75″ x 6.00″ x 9.00″; sold and shipped to a customer in New York that will use the items for Neuroscience research as radiation shielding protection of their equipment.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Cast Round Bar 3.63″ diameter x 9.00″ long; sold to a Solar turbine company in California for radioactive waste – radiation shielding containment.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Sheet: 0.050″ x 12.00″ x 24.00″; sold to Los Alamos National Laboratory for radiation shielding of a research project.
- Fabricate and ship several pure lead shielding items for Ohio State University for a radiation study.
- Fabricate and ship: Lead radiation shielding window frames: HM Steel welded borrowed Lite frame. Prepared for customer assembly & hardware. X-ray Lead Glass Size 24.00″ x 24.00″; x 4.875″ throat 1/16″ Lead lined. Sold to a Medical firm Wisconsin for a new x-ray room.
- Fabricate and ship, Nuclead brand cast lead bricks, then cut to special sizes: 1.75″ x 3.25″ x 3.25″, (approx. 7.6# / pc). Sold to one of Canada’s largest builders for radiation shielding construction.
- Fabricate and ship Pure Virgin Lead, Round bar stock: 2.44″ dia., x 20.00″ long; Sold to UNLV radiation therapy research department, this custom machined waste container will be used to contain spent radiation waste.
- Fabricate and ship lead seals per customer blue prints, using Nuclead’s in stock inventory of AMS-7721 Antimony Lead plate. These high tolerance items are a repeat product for an authorized defense sub-contractor in Canada.
- Fabricate and ship Lead foil: .010″ (+ / – .0005”) x 12.00″ x 50#. Alloy: Commercially pure lead Per ASTM-B29 = or greater to 99.95% Pb. Conforms to ASTM B 29 and shall be comprised of very soft lead foil that is 99.95% pure at a minimum (reference: lead raw material UNS L51121 per ASTM B29); package with End Caps required to prevent damage. Sold to a Lockheed Martin authorized supplier. These items will be cut into various widths and used for fabricate Lockheed Martin items per their blueprints.
- Fabricate and ship Lead foil: .005″ (+ / – .0020”) x 1.00″ x 5# rolls; Alloy: Commercially pure lead Per ASTM-B29. These items are shipped to an industrial pump manufacturer in OK. These industrial pumps are used in dirty environments and separate sludge and liquid.
- Fabricate and ship Lead pipe: 0.75″ id x 1/4″ wall x 60″ lg.; Sold to a metals distributor in OH for resale.
- Extruded and ship: Lead Weathercap-T- Caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s). Min buy: 25#; Type A = Flat cap: Sold to a mason in New England for a restoration project. This customer has bought several lead masonry products from Nuclead over the years and continue to purchase from us for the quick delivery, price and quality of this product.
- Fabricate and ship Lead Extrusions: Weather-T- Caps: 1″ wide x .687″ joint depth x 25# (Ref: 40′) spool(s); Type A = Flat cap. Sold to a Masonry Company in New England for a preventative maintenance project in New Hampshire
- Fabricate and ship special lead weights to a plastic manufacture. Using the lead weight for miscellaneous counterweight applications during a production process.
From Inventory
- Saw and ship large lead sheeting package that consisted of various thickness, widths and lengths. Sold to a machine shop in New England for its own value added services.
- Pick and ship special lead flashing 1/24″ x 48″ x 291″. Sold to a general contractor in MT.
- Pick and ship Virgin Antimony: Grade A “Sb”: Sold to a company in New England that providing terminals and controlled soldering equipment for heated automotive glass.
- Pick and ship Genuine Babbitt, Grade two (89% Sn, 7.5% Sb, 3.5% Cu): Sold & shipped to a heavy equipment repair firm in SC for some repair work of bulldozer bearings.
- Pick and ship, from in stock inventory… several hundred pounds of lead wool per QQ-C-40; sold to a distributor in Indiana for re-sale.
- Pick and ship Lead Wool per QQ-C-40: Sold to an Aviation manufacturer in New Zealand that uses the lead wool for their propeller fabrication process.
- Pick and ship Pure Lead Pig ingots, approx. 40#-70# ingots, sold to a ship repair company in New England for ballast.
