The Antimony Lead and Lead Alloys will be shipped to customers in the USA and Canada
West Bridgewater, MA, 5/31/2023 – Nuclead, a leading manufacturer and distributor of custom and standard lead products for research, industry and consumers announces the delivery of several recent orders of Antimony Lead and other Lead alloys.
Because lead is very soft and ductile, it is often melted with other metals to create lead alloys with specific required properties, commonly with Antimony, Tin, Arsenic, Bismuth, Copper, and Zinc.
Lead Can be cast, rolled or extrude into the form required.
Recent Lead Alloy and Antimony Lead shipments
- Pick and ship Custom Magnum alloy of Lead balls: 2.6 mm diameter (#7) (0.100″ dia.). Sold to a commercial electroplating company requiring the lead shot as lead anodes. The special alloy consists of lead and antimony specialty engineered for this industrial use. Lead shot ballast makes the best fit to fit into small cavities of the plating processes.
- Alloy Lead round bar 3-4% antimony, per QQ-L-171 E, Grade B: 1.25″ dia. x 25.00″ lg. The lead alloy was produced at our plant using virgin pure antimony and virgin pure lead ingots. Nuclead shipped the job with material and specification certifications per the customer’s order. This lead order was shipped to a machine shop in Ohio for value-added services. Custom lead rod with alloy was specified on their blueprints. As an industrial customer, Nuclead provided all certifications for traceability.
- Cast lead bricks using per Refined lead (Pb), low bismuth (Bi) low silver (Ag) pure lead grade per ASTM B29-19. The extremely pure lead used to produce these lead blocks for sale are certified and in-stock for immediate delivery. Nuclead can produce theses along with a lead alloy for any of its lead bricks for sale per customers custom specifications.
- Extrude lead rods per alloy specifications of 1” antimony to 3% antimony, balance lead round: ¾” dia. x 24.00″ long. Delivered via Nuclead Trucking to a custom machine shop in Massachusetts for their own value-added services. The lead for sale was void free and will be for a CNC turning operation at the customer’s plant. When completed it will be installed into a x ray shielding assembly.
- Extrude non-ferrous metals to comply with Lead 4% – 7% Antimony Round Bar, 4.00″ Diameter x 60.00″ Long. The Antimony alloy is certified and sold to a machine shop in California for their own value-added services.
- CNC machine antimony lead sheeting to customers specifications of 0.044” – 0.048″ x 6.420″ – 6.405″ OD. The AMS-7721 Antimony Lead plate is certified and delivered to a machine shop in New England for unknow fabrication processes. This commercial customer required quality control documentation per our ISO standards.
- Extrude high antimony lead wire: 5/64″ dia. x 25lb spools. Sold and shipped to a state university in Texas’s Nuclear Engineering Teaching Lab. The lead rods will be used as radiation shielding during testing. The lead shielding is produced per QQ-l-201 to minimize voids with maximum compression for the densest allowable lead materials.
- Pick and turn with CNC Lathe, Lead round 6% antimony: 1.75″ dia. x 60.00″ lg. with certifications. Sold to a machine shop in Houston, TX for their own value-added services. The extruded lead wire alloy is being used for its stronger antimony lead properties. Pure antimony is a very strong and rigid element and used during the lead alloy process very often. Nuclead also uses virgin tin, copper and zinc to created standard and custom babbitt materials, and sporting alloys. They can also be used as elevator counterweights to make assembly easier making the lead sheets stiffer and less flexible. All lead bar with antimony alloyed with it, are sold in straight lengths.
- CNC Mill custom Lead gaskets 1.75mm thick” x 2.147″ OD x 1.531″ ID in 20 pc lots, bagged and tagged per written blueprints. Nuclead shipped the order to a custom gasket and seal company in Quebec, Canada. The custom lead items are shipped to oil refineries for low heat and extreme compression applications. Thus, requiring high amounts of antimony, alloyed into the lead making it properties much harder. Al lead products for sale by Nuclead are fabricated to custom specifications for the industrial and commercial industries.
